It has been founr months since my tibial plateau fracture and the physio just measured my quad which has shrunk 1.5 inches. The physio stated that based on thism uch muscle loss my knee is taking on a lot more impact than usual due to weak muscles. It is very important to streagthen the quad, and one way of doing this is to put an ankle weight on and lift your leg and hold. Another good way is to ride the stationary bike, which also helos with the range of motion.
